Peacefully, in the gentle care of the staff of St. Oliver Plunkett Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Paddy, daughter of the late Thomas and Rose and dear mother of Seán, Paul, Jim and the late Tom and Padraig. She was also predeceased by her sisters Peggy, Maura and Rose. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sons, daughters-in-law Pauline, Pat, Maria and Niamh, grandchildren Daniel, Rory, Jenny, Fergus, Cathy, Andrew, Tara, Ruth, Jane, Aoife and Cian, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Eileen’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of her family only. There will be an opportunity for the community to show support and to remember Eileen by being present on the route, socially distanced, on Friday, February 5th as the funeral cortege leaves from Quinn’s Funeral Home, Bridge Street at 10.20am, driving to her home, where the family will proceed on foot to St. Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the management and care staff of St. Oliver’s for the exceptional care afforded to Eileen throughout her time there. In lieu of flowers, they would prefer for donations to be made to the Friends of St. Oliver’s. To keep everyone safe, please adhere to social distancing, wear a face covering and refrain from handshaking and hugging.
