Repatriation of a deceased person from any part of the world can be organized completely by Quinn’s Funeral Homes, in Ireland, removing the need for the family to contact a funeral director in the country where the death has taken place. This makes the entire process simpler and more cost-effective.

Wherever death may occur, Quinn’s can oversee the entire process. We have a wealth of experience in dealing with repatriations by road, sea and air from Britain, which we may conduct ourselves or can co-ordinate in association with one of a number of selected like-minded family funeral homes and agents with whom we have built relationships over many years. We also have many contacts in the funeral industry beyond these islands who have assisted us in repatriating deceased loved ones from all parts of the world. We can organize everything and will update the family regularly on our progress. We will organize for the deceased to be removed from the place of death to a suitable place of rest where the deceased will repose until all documentation, necessary when moving the deceased from one country to another, is completed. In this instance, it may be possible for family members to accompany the deceased on the journey home. In addition, since Quinn’s  are looking after all aspects of the funeral arrangements, the family have the opportunity to choose a traditional Irish coffin or casket directly from our showroom or by browsing our coffin selection online. A simple phone call can set the process in motion and, as with all of our services, an estimate of costs is provided at the earliest opportunity.

Should a family overseas have contacted their local funeral director to organize that aspect of the funeral, we at Quinn’s will meet the remains at the chosen Irish airport and look after all the necessary arrangements here. It should be noted that engaging two funeral directors independently can be more expensive, take longer to organize and for families based primarily in Ireland, can be less personal.

Where a loved one passes away in Ireland and is to be repatriated to another country, we offer a dedicated service in this regard. We arrange transfer of the deceased into our care, preparation, all necessary documentation, transportation by road, sea and air and contact with the consignee funeral director in the destination country.
