Formerly Newport, Co. Mayo. Passed peacefully on December 27th 2024, in the loving care of the staff of Cúram Care Home, Dundalk, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his son John, aged 11, in 1979, by his beloved wife and best friend Patricia, brother Joseph, sisters Maureen and Anne, and son-in-law Derek. Loving and most loved father of Stephanie, Mary and David, Grandfather to Rebecca, Christopher, Amy, Lucy, Grace, Dearbhla, Ruairí, Áine and Niamh, father-in-law to Noel and Sarah, and brother of Brian. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, son, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

John will repose at his home (Eircode A91 V9T2) on Sunday, December 29th from 3pm-9pm. Removal on Monday, December 30th, at 12.30pm, driving to the Church of the Holy Redeemer (Eircode A91 NY2Y), arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm. After Mass, the cortège will drive to St. Patrick’s Cemetery (Eircode A91 F598) for burial.
